Maidstone, Ontario is a small hamlet along Essex County Road 34, in the town of Tecumseh, Ontario (Formerly part of Sandwich South Township, Ontario). The town is home to a school, ball diamonds, a cemetery, a church, a funeral home, restaurant, community center and a grain elevator along a CN Rail line.
The School's name is St.Mary School's. It is part of the Windsor Essex County District School Board.
The Windsor Star wrote a story in summer 2006, projecting the community's population to soar to over 2000 within the next 10 years (at the time, it was around 580) due to the explosive growth in Tecumseh. It is unknown if this will occur, as Maidstone is closer to Essex, Ontario than to Windsor, Ontario and Tecumseh, Ontario. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
